Hey, there!
I’m Melanie, a California based travel blogger and adventurer.
Family vacations and road trips across the United States (and a few out of the country) are some of my best childhood memories. Now my husband and I are pursuing adventures with our own three kiddos!
I created SuitChase because I wanted to share what I learned along the way. There’s nothing worse than spending money and taking time off work to go on a trip, only to spend big chunks of your travel time trying to figure out where to go, what to do, and when to do it.
I’m here to help your family SAVE MORE, SEE MORE, and ENJOY MORE as you travel!
Suit Yourself!
Wild and crazy, or simple and serene? Regardless of your travel style, SuitChase can help make choosing the destination of your next family vacation a breeze. Pick your favorite suit!
Simple Suit
If you love hiking and nature, you’ll love these travel destinations! Think summer road trips to amazing National Parks or a camping adventure! Just grab your shorts, tank-top, a sweatshirt, and maybe your binoculars, and you’ll be ready to go!
Super Suit
“Honey, where’s my super suit?” If visiting the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ (Disney!), thrill rides, and top-notch entertainment are high on your list, this one’s for you! Throw some ears and a backpack in your suitcase, and head to a theme or amusement park!
Swim Suit
If it’s not so much about where you’re going, but more about what’s going to be there (must have a body of water!), we have some destinations for you! Lake, river, or ocean, it doesn’t matter! Pack your swimsuit, towel, and sunglasses and GO!
Snow Suit
Snowball fights, fresh powder, and fireside chats are the stuff winter dreams are made of. Throw your skis and snowboard on your roof rack, an inner tube or tobaggan in the back, and head out to your next mountain adventure with your favorite people!

COMPASSion
Travel might take us ’round the world, but love is what makes the world go ’round.
We have experienced first hand the generosity and kindness of friends, family, and complete strangers. There is no mountain range, beach, sunset, or amusement park that can complete with the beauty of a heart filled with compassion.
One of our favorite stories took place at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. I still get teary when I think about it!
Travel Made Simple
Sometimes it’s fun to fly by the seat of your pants when you’re on vacation. At least it seems fun…until your pants rip. And you open your suitcase only to discover you forgot to pack an extra pair.
We’ve noticed that our family enjoys trips the most when we have a plan. It can be a flexible plan, but still, a plan.
There’s nothing worse than taking time off work and school, spending a sizable sum of money only to realize you missed out on some of the most important attractions. Or you’re dealing with a bunch of hangry people (raises hand) because you’re in the middle of nowhere and the critters in the backseat ate the last of the trail mix. Our critters think that “road trip” is a code phrase for “eat like your life depends on it.”
We figure your family isn’t that much different than our family, so we’re sharing our travel planning tips and itineraries. We hope it will help take the stress out of planning your next family vacation, making it the most memorable one yet!
